As we developed our South Shore line and our history of the Quincy Area, we happened upon the story of Thomas Morton.

Thomas Morton came to the area with the Puritans. While the Puritans built the Plimouth Plantation in what is now Plymouth Ma. Thomas Morton came a little north and built the Merrymount Plantation in what is now the Merryount section of Quincy Ma.

Mr Morton, traded with the Natives, guns, food and more. At Merrymount he erected a Maypole and even wrote a poem about it. His Maypole festival included not only the workers of his plantation but the natives also. The Puritans did not like this, stopped the party and sent Mr. Morton back to England in chains.

So to honor Mr. Morton and his Maypole festival we developed a scent all for him, A slightly woodsy scent with a little Bay Rum and Sex-on-the-Beach!
